I live in the southwest end of Toronto, in Parkdale. I live close to the lake and High Park. There is a good mix of people, and cultures but also an element of poverty as well. I get inspired by looking at Lake Ontario during a stormy day or walking through High Park to get some nature inspiration. The architecture here in Parkdale is also very interesting and diverse, from Victorian to Modern buildings.

Natural beauty, colours, contracts in warm and cold tones. I explore what it is to be alone but not lonely, and what I experience as a beautiful composition might be so different from another person. There is so much that a digital camera can capture, but it is quite different as painted by a human being because that is the connection, human to human that can relate that feeling of awe or recognition.
